Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) ID or National ID is Valid ID!

The long-awaited National ID is finally here, and anybody may apply for one.

There’s good news! The National ID Law was signed by President Roa Rodrigo Duterte in August 2018 to regulate and streamline our identity system. The government’s goal in this case is to improve government administration, prevent corruption as much as possible, and utilize it as a tool to keep you safe in public.

The registration process began in October of 2020.

What is the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) ID?

Filipinos refer to it as a National ID Card or a Philippine Identification Card (PhilID). As a result, President Rodrigo Duterte signed Republic Act No. 11055 into law on August 6, 2018, and it is now the official national identity card for Filipino citizens and foreign permanent residents in the Philippines.
