Do you need a resume template for your new job?
If this is the case, congratulations! You’ve come to the correct place.
When applying for a job, a resume, also known as a curriculum vitae, is required as part of the recruiting process. It is critical to show oneself in hard form so that the firm can examine every skill and expertise when doing an interview.
We recommend adopting a basic resume format for all employment or applications. The basic style simplifies the interviewer’s examination of your qualifications and experience.
What information should be included in every resume?
- Contact Information – is always at the top of the resume. It had your entire name, complete address, and up-to-date phone number. You can also include your social media profiles or website, if you have any.
- Work Experience – this is always included after your contact information. Because work experience is the number one (1) criteria of most recruiting jobs right now, your experiences should be appropriately listed and aligned so that the interviewer can get you to the goal.
We recommend that you specify your duties and responsibilities, your function at the time, and the firm where you work in your work experience. - Skills & Talents – Following your job experience, the next step is to develop your skills and talents. It is also a vital piece of information to include in your resume. The interviewer typically takes the time to prepare your skill in order to see if your knowledge is applicable to an available position.
- Education- Education is vital, but be explicit about your educational background. Avoid including your elementary (also called primary education) and high school (often called secondary education) experience as much as possible, and instead focus on your education experience in college or whatever degree of education you completed.
- Achievement and Awards -If you have such things, we recommend that you include them on your CV. It is also a major assist to classify your exposure since you were exposed to suitable training, seminars, and it was added to your talents.
- Character References – we suggest writing “Character reference will be provided upon request”. Most of the time, it is not necessary to include a character reference on every resume; the interviewer or firm does not want to interfere with your prior boss or contact during the interview unless absolutely necessary.
What areas should you avoid and consider in writing a simple resume?
- Selfie Photo – Your image should be official and up to date.
- Mismatched typefaces – make sure that before you print your resume, the font and font size match.
- Colorful fonts should be avoided unless your application is about graphic design.
- Too long of an introduction – it was sometimes referred to as a cover letter. We recommend that you do not include a cover letter with your CV.
- A resume should be one (1) to two (2) pages long.
- Make use of white blank paper.
- Make all details brief, using basic words or bullet points instead.
